What are the file size limits within Beam?
Files in Beam has two types of limits: a per-file upload limit, and a total attachment limit that varies by resource type.
Per-file upload limit
- Maximum file size: 50MB per file
- Email delivery: Files larger than 20MB will upload successfully, but won’t be sent via email (they’ll still be accessible in Beam).
Total attachment limits by resource
Each resource has a maximum combined size for all attachments.

Invoices: 150MB (cost-plus invoices will include all associated bills, expenses, and lien waivers as attachments)

Lien waivers: 100MB (across sub-tiers)

Estimates: 100MB

Tasks: 10MB

Notes: 10MB
Even if a resource allows a large total attachment size, each individual file must still be 50MB or less.
