What is the difference between Edit and Ask in the AI Assistant chat?

Edit is used when you want the AI to actively change your estimate. This includes things like adding or removing groups, adjusting scope of work, or modifying verbiage across line items.

Ask is for understanding the estimate (or the plans if uploaded). Use it to question assumptions the AI made, such as where pricing came from or how quantities or square footage were calculated.
