# How many files can I upload to Beam’s AI Assistant?

## Understand the file upload limits for Beam’s AI Assistant, including maximum file count and total size.

You can upload **up to 10 files at a time**. The combined file size must be **under 100 MB** total, while the single file maximum is 50 MB.

If the size of a single file is greater than 50 MB, there are a number of reliable, free PDF compression tools available to help reduce the size like [Adobe Free Online Compression](https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/online/compress-pdf.html).
