# How do I choose where the funds will land?

## Set the deposit account for invoice payments using a linked bank account or Beam Balance.

You can choose from any linked bank account or the **[Beam Balance](https://faq.trybeam.com/migrated/what-is-the-beam-balance-why-should-i-use-it?hsLang=en).**

You can link a bank account by going to your Settings ⚙️, then select the `Bank accounts` tab.

The Beam Balance functions like a checking account inside Beam. To transfer funds in or out, click **More** in the top navigation, select **Beam Balance**, and use the **Transfer funds** option.
