How do I apply for the Beam Card?
Learn how to validate your business information and apply for a Beam Visa Card from the Expense cards page.
The Beam Card is a Visa business card you can use for project spend, with expenses tracked automatically alongside the rest of your Beam activity. There's no credit check or personal guarantee, no annual fee, and you earn 1% cash back on purchases. Applying takes a few minutes, and most of it is confirming business details you already have on hand.
Before you can apply, your business information needs to be validated. If you haven't done that yet, Beam prompts you as soon as you open the Expense cards page, so you can handle both in one sitting.
Note: Additional cardholders don't go through a separate application. Once you're approved, see How do I add an additional expense card? to issue cards to your team.
Steps:
- While logged in to Beam, click More in the top navigation menu.
- Click Expense cards.
- (If Applicable) Validate your business information.
a. Click Validate business information and complete the verification process.
b. When you're done, head back to More > Expense cards.- If your business is already validated, you'll go straight to the Expense cards overview.
- Review the card details and click Apply Now.
- Fill out the application and submit it.
- Before you start, have your EIN, business formation information, and owner SSN ready.
- You'll also connect a bank account, upload bank statements, or both.
- Because the application itself involves sensitive information, it isn't shown in the walkthrough above.
- Most applications are reviewed within 24 hours. You'll get a text at the phone number on file once a decision is made.
- Once your application is approved, you'll be assigned a Visa card and a custom credit limit. Your Account balance, Total credit, available credit, and next Payment due date all appear at the top of the page.
- From here, Expense cards is your home base for the Beam Card. Manage cards, export data, schedule payments, and review spend insights all from this page.
